Dr. Kandula nominated for Ohio Hospital Association Health Care Worker of the Year

Renuka Kandula, MD, was recently recognized as Holzer Health System’s nominee for Health Care Worker of the Year Award, sponsored by the Ohio Hospital Association.
The following is a summary of the nomination that was sent in on behalf of Holzer for Dr. Kandula:
Renuka Kandula, MD, is a leader in healthcare, providing vast and innovative contributions for Holzer Health System as a provider, mentor, and role model. She stands on the foundation of respect, trust, and loyalty, and possesses the psychological, emotional, and interpersonal skills necessary to always perform at a high level. Dr. Kandula guarantees a friendly visit, with excellent care, to every patient, every time — a direct reflection of Holzer’s mission.
Dr. Kandula cares for her community and her staff; and is committed to excellent quality, friendliness, integrity, respect, service and teamwork. She is a teacher and mentor to our future doctors, providing knowledge and the tools needed to succeed. Even though she has stretched herself thin at times, she is motivated to prioritize her interests in order to keep giving to her patients, co-workers, health system, and communities; contributing to the society that has given so much to her.
The Ohio Hospital Association recognized Dr. Kandula and other candidates from hospitals throughout the state for being named their facility’s Health Care Worker of the Year at a special dinner in Columbus, Ohio, on June 14 where several Ohio caregivers were presented awards, including the Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award. OHA asked that nominees be described by one or more of the following – extraordinary caregiver, recognized by peers as a great leader, reflects the values and ideals of the hospital, gives back to the community, goes beyond the call of duty and has overcome odds to succeed.
Dr. Kandula and her husband, Pradeep Kandula, MD, Holzer Pediatrics, reside in Gallipolis, Ohio. Holzer is proud to have nominated Dr. Kandula for this honor and ask our communities to congratulate her on this achievement.
