Holzer patient shares her story
Norma "Jean" Wiseman, second from right, is shown with Holzer staff from the Holzer Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.
When Norma “Jean” Wiseman needed shoulder surgery, she didn’t hesitate about where to go.
“I had a reverse total shoulder surgery at Holzer Center for Joint Replacement in Jackson, Ohio,” stated Wiseman. “I have not had any pain from the time of surgery, not even incision pain. The staff told me that they could help me, and they took care of my problem. I can move my shoulder in any direction.”
Following surgery, Wiseman was on the Gallipolis Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and attended Therapy sessions at Sycamore Clinic.
“I was driving within three weeks, it was projected to take me 12,” Wiseman said. “The care was marvelous.”
Wiseman is a former Holzer employee, working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for 28 years. Wiseman retired in 1982 and is still very active, celebrating her 86th birthday this past March.
“I couldn’t have asked for any better. The whole experience was wonderful.”
Wiseman is a resident of Gallipolis, Ohio, and enjoys spending time with her godchild, Jeannie Wilson.
