Holzer welcomes Ohio Valley Physicians

Holzer would like to welcome Ohio Valley Physicians (OVP) to our family of caregivers. OVP is a physician staffing company founded in 1999 by Dr. Stephen Shy and Dr. Robert Hess.

OVP is providing physicians in Holzer Emergency Departments in Gallipolis, Jackson, and Pomeroy, Ohio. In addition, OVP Hospitalists are seeing patients in the Hospital setting at Holzer Medical Center – Jackson and the Gallipolis Medical Center.

Dr. Hess states, “At the heart of all we do, we have a simple philosophy, we enjoy medicine and like taking care of patients. We are really a two family company; to a lot of people, when you look at it on paper, it probably shouldn’t work, but over 100 employees later, it is working. We are a group of people that enjoy our jobs, enjoy our co-workers, and that translates to excellent care for our patients.”
