Holzer Patient/Family Advisory Program - Partner With Us!

Holzer Health System is excited to introduce the launch of its Patient and Family Advisory Program, which is created to provide a patient-family perspective on the delivery of care. 

“We invite patients and families who have had personal experiences with our Health System to partner with us to help improve our services and care”, states Ryan Finch, Director of Organizational Experience. 

“We believe that patients and their families are essential members of the care team, and can offer unique perspectives and valuable feedback on what works well and what does not”, adds Finch.

Patient and Family Advisors will have the opportunity to provide feedback, suggestions and be involved in the decision making process to design experiences that are centered on the patient and their loved ones.

“Dr. Charles Holzer, Jr. was quoted many years ago that our top priority is to keep the patient at the center of all we do. We believe that this program is a direct reflection of our continued commitment to that priority”, states Brent Saunders, Chair, Board of Directors, Holzer Health System.

Through this program, Holzer is actively looking to build a network of patients and family caregivers who are interested in sharing constructive insight to help improve care for all patients and families. 

“There are a variety of roles available to participate based upon areas of interest, and time commitment is very minimal”, says Finch. Opportunities include serving on committees, councils, and being an active member on project teams.

Lance Broy, M.D., who serves as the Medical Director for Holzer Family Practice, stated, “Over the next few months, our desire is to have an adequate number of Advisors to serve on our Patient and Family Advisory Primary Care Councils for various locations. The goal of these Advisory Councils is to collaborate with patients and families and integrate their feedback into practice.”
