Dr. DeWitt Testimonial

“Dr. DeWitt is fantastic,” shared Rayanna Stinson, recent Holzer General Surgery patient. “I am blessed to have been able to receive care from her and the entire Holzer staff.”

On May 29, Stinson presented to the Gallipolis Emergency Room with severe pain. She was soon informed that she needed emergency surgery for a hernia. “Dr. DeWitt was very professional and explained things in a manner my husband and I were able to understand. She was very patient with me and took the time to calm my fears.”

Stephanie DeWitt, MD, Holzer General Surgeon is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio Medical University, Rootstown, Ohio and completed her residency at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngtown, Ohio. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. DeWitt specializes in general surgery, including but not limited to, surgery for breast disease, gallbladder, hernias, colorectal and anal disease, skin cancers and benign lesions. She is currently accepting patients at Holzer locations in Athens, Gallipolis and Jackson.

Stinson’s procedure required her to stay in the hospital for six days, which were spent on the Two West Inpatient Unit in Gallipolis. “The unit was wonderful. I was very impressed with the staff,” shared Stinson. “Ted, my husband, was kept informed and was pleased with how I was treated.”

Stinson is now back to work and returning to her hobbies, which include bowling, gardening, and spending time with family. She and her husband live in Gallipolis and have a son, Luke, in Cartersville, Georgia.
