Holzer Hospice Welcomes Social Work/Volunteer Coordinator

Holzer is proud to welcome Emily Ash, LSW, MSW, Holzer Hospice Social Work and Volunteer Coordinator.
Ash completed her Bachelors in Social Work at Ohio University in Athens and her Masters in Social Work at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Prior to joining Hospice, Ash worked with Foster Care Services/NECCO in Huntington, West Virginia. She is originally from Meigs County, Ohio.
“I am proud to be able to work in my community and build connections,” shared Ash. “Hospice is looking forward to building our volunteer program to provide companionship and assistance for not only our staff, but our Hospice patient family members as well. I am passionate about growing this program.”
Ash and her fiancée reside in Gallipolis, Ohio, with their three dogs. She enjoys hiking and running.
Anyone interested in giving back to their community is invited to join the Holzer Hospice Volunteer program. Activities performed by Hospice volunteers include: visiting patients, cooking and baking, run errands, assisting with fundraising activities and office support.
