Amy Ward, NP

Amy Ward, NP, Uptown Clinic powered by Holzer, is excited to be offering services in the Athens community. “I love it here at Uptown,” shared Amy. “We provide great care for the local residents and students.”

Amy joined Uptown in September 2022 but is no stranger to the Holzer system. Previously, she provided urgent care services at The Clinic at WalMart in Athens, Ohio, and has served in other positions within the system. She received her RN degree from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, her Bachelor of Nursing from Ohio University, and her masters in nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner license from the University of Cincinnati. She is Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She and her husband, Adam, reside in McArthur with their 3-year-old, MaKinley, and dogs, Spot, Chance and Ace. She enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, and reading.

Uptown Clinic, an outpatient clinic located in uptown Athens, Ohio, opened in 2016 providing convenient service for today’s healthcare consumer. The location offers a wide range of preventative and chronic healthcare services. The clinic focuses on students by offering text connections for appointments and follow-up, video capabilities between the patient, clinician and the parent or others if desired; and onsite lab testing and screenings. In addition, COVID and flu testing are available. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday, 8am to 5:30pm and is located at 5 North Court Street, Suite 1, Athens, Ohio.
