Therapy Pavilion
Rehabilitation means reshaping lives and restoring lost abilities after an illness or injury by treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and socially. In rehabilitation, the goal is to return residents to their optimum level of function and open the door to a better quality of life. At the Therapy Pavilion, our comprehensive Therapy Team provides individualized and goal-oriented treatment programs specifically designed for each individual resident. Our focus is to help residents reach quality outcomes and return home.
Our unique service model includes the following:
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapies available 5-7 days per week
- Interdisciplinary treatment approach by a team of highly qualified rehabilitation professionals
- Family involvement in treatment and care planning processes
- On-site rehabilitation program director to coordinate and manage the efforts of the interdisciplinary rehab team
- Pre-admission screenings to assess each resident's appropriateness for the program
Therapy Pavilion Services
The Therapy Pavilion program delivers the highest standard of quality care in the most cost-effective and value-added manner. Individualized treatment programs are designed to serve seniors in a wide variety of clinical categories.
Diagnoses include:
- Post-orthopedic surgery
- Post-cerebrovascular accident
- Cardiopulmonary dysfunction
- Neuromuscular or neurological disorders
- Chronic pain
- Complex decubitus or wound care
- Amputations
- General debility
Once your physical limitations have been identified, skilled treatment procedures prescribed by the physician are implemented, an individualized treatment program is developed. These clinical programs may address areas related to your mobility, performance of activities of daily living, communication skills, and swallowing function.
Therapy Suite
The Therapy Pavilion has a spacious therapy suite, which includes a fully equipped kitchen and laundry area, large gymnasium, waiting area for families, and a private treatment space for Speech Therapy. Our therapy program focuses on achieving safe, independent function with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping, dressing and grooming activities and mobility (walking, managing a wheelchair or assistive device) in a homelike setting.
Our Therapy Team
Our staff encompasses the therapy disciplines of Physical and Occupational Therapies as well as Speech-Language Pathology and has a combined total of 50 years of experience working in the long-term rehabilitation industry. All staff members are graduates of accredited programs and are licensed in Ohio.
Discharge Planning
Home evaluations are conducted by the therapists as they prepare for discharge to home and assist in ensuring a safe transition from skilled care to home independence. Home exercise programs are prepared and reviewed with you and your family prior to discharge and are instrumental in improving function once you return to your home environment.
The Therapy Pavilion Program specializes in designing an aggressive therapy program that fast tracks your return to home as quickly as possible. On average, we are sending our residents home after 20 to 30 days in our rehab program. Your improved function at discharge will allow for a smooth and safer transition from the therapy environment into your home.
Specialty Programs
Therapy Dining
Therapy dining is offered for those individuals who have difficulty managing their nutritional intake in a safe manner. The program is run by our Speech-Language Pathologist, who specializes in management of swallowing disorders and is certified in Vital Stem Therapy, a highly specialized treatment that assists in the achievement of a safe and functional swallow to facilitate adequate nutritional intake.
Tracheotomy Care
Tracheotomy care is offered for individuals who have a tracheotomy and need specific interventions by the pathologist to enhance communication and assist in progressive trach, throat, and esophageal care.
Group Therapy
Group Therapy is geared to improve function and independence, assist the individual gain more confidence in their skills, and promote an atmosphere of fun and socialization. These group programs are frequently attended by family members as they are learning more about their loved ones' therapy program.
