Holzer Sports Medicine Department is dedicated to taking care of all of your sports needs. We have a comprehensive team of professionals including Orthopedists, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians, Certified Athletic Trainers, Pain Management Specialists, Therapists, Podiatrists, Pediatricians, and Surgeons.

Holzer's highly trained Board Certified Physicians and staff are very active in the community. Holzer provides monetary stipends to help place Licensed Athletic Trainers at the local high schools and universities.

The primary objective of Holzer is to provide a safer environment for all athletes. We focus on the prevention of injury and a safe return to play. Holzer provides team physicians to local schools and The University of Rio Grande. We host several athletic events such as 5k runs, provide physician care at football games, cover state football playoff games, provide sports injury care for the state wrestling meet, provide physician coverage of the OHSAA Basketball Tournament, etc. We provide monetary stipends to 16 local high schools and one university to help provide athletic training services, because keeping your child safe is our utmost concern.

The Sports Medicine Program at Holzer Provides the Following Services:

  • Early morning, late evening, and Saturday appointments

Education

Our Sports Medicine Team is focused on educating the public on sports safety. We initiated Impact Concussion testing, which is scientifically validated concussion cognitive evaluation system, at various high schools.

The Holzer Sports Medicine team teaches off season conditioning programs at our local schools and assists with football helmet fitting.

Holzer has provided heat injury education, bike safety education, and numerous educational sessions to the public and schools on concussion awareness and prevention.
