Parkinson's Disease Treatment
Parkinson’s Disease is a chronic and progressive movement disorder.
Symptoms tend to be mild at first and can progress; often the symptoms are overlooked initially.
Symptoms of the disease include tremors, stiffness (rigidity), slow body movements (bradykinesia), and poor balance (postural instability).
The Holzer Therapy Services Department provides services to patients with Parkinson’s Disease, such as:
- Evaluation and treatments are provided in our Gallipolis Outpatient Therapy Departments
- Our therapy providers are trained in the use of evidence based/current techniques and interventions to treat the disease
- Treatment for the disease is done individually in our clinics and in our community based group programs
- LSVT certified BIG and LOUD providers
